Pancakes are very easy to make and homemade ones taste so much better! My daughter loves to make and eat them. It’s a good recipe to get the kids involved. Just watch those little hands around hot and sharp objects.
Makes about 12 pancakes
- 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 and 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt
- Mix together eggs, milk and vegetable oil
- Add milk mixture slowly to flour mixture, mix well
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto a lightly oiled non stick pan or griddle over medium heat
- Cook about 1-2 minutes until bubbles begin to form on top
- Flip pancake over and cook for about 1-2 more minutes or lightly brown
- Serve with butter, maple syrup or your favorite jam
